Trembling under supervision

In a perfect world, we wouldn’t need help to wake up.

We wouldn’t need upheaval or crises to open our eyes, nor pain to push us into new places. But human beings are built differently.

Most of our inner receptors are still tuned to fear rather than pleasure. Our desires revolve around survival, which is always driven by fear. We may occasionally feel like having good sex, taking a trip to the Caribbean, or eating an elaborate meal. Sometimes we manage to overcome the rest of the noise and focus on yoga, on love, on the smell of clean laundry or the lemons we’ve picked. But these receptors are exhausted from fear.  This is the stage humanity is in.

Our desire to rejoice, to heal, to laugh and to play must therefore overcome a critical hurdle.

That’s where help is needed.

That is why something as simple as dry leaves placed in a pot and prepared for several days can become a thread leading us toward this formative kind of help.

Here in the picture are leaves, bark and roots used by human beings to prepare one of the most powerful potions known to us, a wondrous potion that holds our hand as we cross the raging river of fear: existential fear, fear of rejection, failure, pain, mistakes, abandonment and death.

What waits on the other side of fear is a new world, one in which life is chosen rather than driven by fear.

So what drives life there instead?

Fortunately, we possess other receptors too: receptors for joy and pleasure, for creativity, faith, hope and the desire to be part of what our eyes don’t allow us to see.

This is, of course, no accident.

Anyone whose heart has decided to begin the journey, to shake the dust of generations from their wings, to dismantle their enslavement to fear piece by piece, is invited to come drink this ancient and wise medicine of wonder: Ayahuasca.

Or to join the Trauma and Unconditional Joy of Life course. Or to receive EFT treatment at the clinic.

What do you do? You ask the heart to make a sound, clear and brave.

And with that sound, you begin the journey, even without a map.

I’m here for just that reason.
